Lots of changes in the world of money lately - the Dodd Frank Act has been revised, Bank of the Ozarks is no longer offering mortgages and community banks are being swallowed up by larger institutions.

How is this affecting real estate investors?  We've put together a Panel of Pros to talk about that and what the trends are for acquiring, using and lending money.  If this hasn't affected how your Deals are structured yet, it certainly will in the future.

Sam Harris, President of Armstrong Bank, and his team have their pulse on lending practices in NWA.  They offer in-house loans as well as secondary market mortgages.  Sam is a passionate researcher and student of trends in the world of banking and money.  He'll talk about:

  • Recent changes in Dodd Frank
  • Community vs big banks - how it works
  • Why some banks are leaving the mortgage market
  • Future trends in lending & how it will affect investors

Charity Cummings is the Area Manager for Caliber Home Loans, a Direct Lender.  Caliber is a national group of private investors which allows them to offer a wider selection of loan products than many banking institutions.  Charity's personal integrity and 14 years of experience has made Caliber a success in NWA.  She and her team will discuss:

  • Various levels of private money lenders
  • What is a Portfolio Loan
  • When an investor would use a Direct Lender vs a bank
  • How Dodd Frank is affecting private money lenders

This is an outstanding program chock full of information that will help you make better financing decisions today and give you a preview of how we will be funding our Deals in the future.  You won't want to miss this one!

We love to hear from new people as well as our members.

Let us know what's on your mind or what you'd like to see at REI NWA.
