June Meeting: Time To Look At Commercial Investing?

Ever thought about investigating the commercial market?  It's a wide-ranging niche encompassing everything from 5+ multi-family apartments to Joe's Garage, strip malls and bigger.

Commercial is a different world, it's true, but knowing a little about how it works, the pros and cons and how others have succeeded in that market can take a lot of the guess work and risk out of the deliberation.

We've brought you a couple of seasoned broker-investors who work in both residential and commercial to give you the info you need to decide if this strategy might work for your goals to enhance your portfolio.

Larry Kelly has been involved in both residential and commercial investing, contracting and buying/selling for many years in NWA and other markets.  From residential to small scale commercial, he knows what it takes to make the transition and close the deal.

Rodger Lecy is an Executive Broker with Weichert-Griffin dealing mostly in commercial.  He has worked with many investors looking to build their portfolio as well as sellers unfamiliar with the way the commercial market works.  He has a special talent at putting complex concepts into easy-to-understand terms.

They'll discuss the differences between residential and commercial investing with regard to:

  • The numbers and money
  • Lease terms
  • Identifying the right commercial Realtor
  • Working with commercial sellers
  • Finding the right tenants
  • Determining the right deal for you

Bring your questions, ideas and plans and find out if this strategy could be right for you.  Whether or not you decide to enter the commercial market, you will have a better idea of the potential for expansion.  Join these seasoned investors willing to share their guidance and experience.  Network with fellow members who may have already taken the plunge!

We love to hear from new people as well as our members.

Let us know what's on your mind or what you'd like to see at REI NWA.
