The  annual Arkansas Tax Lien Auction is in June and we wanted you to have the most up-to-date information possible before you start bidding.

This is a great way to increase your portfolio, but there are a few "Buyer Beware" warnings you need to understand.  Lisa Pelton, Director of Real Estate for the Commissioner of AR State Lands, will take us through the maze of rules.  She'll talk about: 

  • How Property Becomes Eligible for Auction
  • The Auction Sales Process
  • The Redemption Process
  • Post-Auction Sales Process

Mark your calendars for the State Tax Lien Auction schedule in NWA: 

     June 12:  Carroll & Madison
      June 13:   Benton County
     June 14:   Washington County

Then, Greg Brown, our go-to attorney from Harrington Miller will discuss how to protect yourself at the Auction and what happens after you get that Great Deal!  There’s more to it than you think.  He’ll explain:

  • The special deed you’ll receive
  • Confirming the sale and quieting title
  • Potential problems and how to fix them
  • What happens if you don’t fix them

This is a great program chock-full of opportunities to build your portfolio, contacts to help you get the winning bid and information for protecting your investment.  You’ll definitely want to attend this one!
