Lots of changes happening in the Rehab-New Construction world today. Lots of predictions going around about what will happen next year. Plenty of frustration from all parties.
We decided to go straight to the source and ask some of our trusted General Contractors about their on-the-ground experience. We've put together of Panel of GCs to tell us the inside scoop on why it's harder, longer and more expensive to rehab or build. They'll discuss:
Jim Ford is a licensed General Contractor and has been remodeling and building new construction since college (didn't ask him how long ago that was). He comes from three generations of carpenters and woodworkers and along with his partner, Andrea Hurst, have just finished and sold their first flip!! Jim has a degree in psychology which makes him easy to work with and a pro at listening to your vision.
Matt Zachary is the owner of MTZ Construction in Bentonville. He builds single- and multi-family residential housing as well as commercial projects. Matt has a keen eye for the bottom line and how to build mid-range properties that make sense to a small investor. Through his working relationship with REI NWA, he has learned the mindset of investors and how to make our projects happen.
Brian Choate is owner of C Sky Homes, a Realtor and investor. He is a seasoned general rehab contractor, builds new residential and commercial construction and even does development. Known for his quality craftsmanship and unique homes, Don is described as approachable, professional and easy going. He loves design and to hear creative building ideas.
This is going to be a great program with lots of information, insight to the market, the industry and future developments. Bring you questions, ideas and comments and join us for a fun meeting and lively discussion.
We love to hear from new people as well as our members.
