If you're a Landlord, you most likely have had multiple roomates on your lease. Has that experience been bad or good for you? While horror stories abound, many landlords have a positive view of this scenario - or maybe fond memories.
This month, we're bringing a new format to Landlord Lunch: Ruth Jones will facilitate a lively discussion among our guests. There is much wisdom in our group and Ruth is one of the wisest. She notes her 50-year experience with her own roomate! Join us as we share tips and tricks learned over the years. You may learn something new about:
· Handling the second person on the lease
· Move-ins not on the lease
· Can you "deselect" - pick & choose
· What happens when one leaves
· Related vs Non-related tenants
Ruth Jones is an investor, builder and property manager with 200+ doors under her watchful eyes. In her many years as a landlord, she has heard the stories and seen most everything there is to see in the buy-and-hold market. She and her husband, Jim, recently bought the Farmer’s Regional Sale Barn. Ask her about zebras and zedonks – now there’s some roomates for you!
