Unless you've been living in a cave, you've probably heard about regulations that towns are putting on Short Term Rentals (STRs). Since we live in a community of 34+ municipalities all of them having different regulations, restrictions, permits, etc., it can become a confusing mess!

Investors are not known to favor regulations of any kind, but when it affects their livelihood, they can get a little cranky. Add to the mix Realtors' opinions about home owner rights and you've got yourself a conversation. Recently, Senate Bill 197 which would prohibit municipalities from restricting STRs has been introduced. Already passed by the Senate, it is scheduled for a House vote this week.
